Tax help for seniors available in Greenfield - Other programs also available through The United Way

When locals look at their work check stubs, all seen to sigh at seeing what was taken out for federal, state and local taxes, but now is the time to try to get some of that back.
This year, like last, the Alliance on Aging will have trained volunteers available to help seniors with their tax needs.
The 2009 program began on Feb. 3 at the Greenfield Library. Every Thursday through April 15, the Alliance on Aging will have certified community volunteers on hand to assist senior citizens in completing their tax forms.
They will prepare:
* Form 1040 EZ and A, with or without Schedule 1, 2, 3 & EIC
* Form 1040; with Schedule A, B, EIC and R
* Form 1040-V, Form 1040-ES
* Form 2441 (Child and Dependent Care Credit)
* Form 8863 (Education Credits)
* Form 8812 (Additional Child Tax Credit)
