Summer fun to be had at King City Municipal Pool

KING CITY - The summer fun is now in full swing at the King City recreational community pools.

The facility boasts a dive tank with a one-meter diving board, a three-meter high dive board, a 25-yard lap pool, a recreational pool featuring sporting equipment and a 1.5-foot wade pool for the little swimmers.

"We are very fortune to have this nice facility," said Harrison Teeter, the pool manager. Teeter, who started as an aquatic aide nine years ago, does a little bit of everything at the pool. "We like to make sure the kids are safe and we are strict on them running around the pool area for everyone's safety, but we also care about things such as drinking water and sunscreen. The first line of defense to stopping an accident is prevention."

The King City summertime temperatures can get rather hot at times and it's better to come prepared.
